Aloha Fellow MFK's,

I just picked up a used 150 gallon and I love it but the previous owner had some neglect issues.

There is some kine of Hard water haze that I can't seem to get out and it is an eye soar. I tried waxing it out. Also tried a razor blade.

Please, please, please....need some advice!!!

It is not the flaky white stains it is the stuff that remains underneath. If you look at it from an angle it has some rainbow coloration.

Here is a pic (Thanks in advance):

So after hours of labor trying all methods suggested to include the following:

Turtle wax compound, orbiter buffer, razor blades, vinegar. I decided to go to Home Depot I purchase the finest grit steel wool. By itself the wool was useless but paired with the turtle wax compound and the magic started to happen.

The tank is like brand new. This is the secret to removing hard water stain trails....I promise!!! WORKS WONDERS!

SEE PICTURE ABOVE FOR BEFORE AND BELOW AFTER SAME AREA OF TANK...CHECK OUT THE DIFFERENCE!!!
