Just do lots of water changes. I've always used strips to compare my liquid tests to, there is never much of a difference if used properly either test will do fine.

I have the liquid test kit and I used to use it but i do weekly water changes so i never have to. the water params are never bad and i haven't lost a fish from it.

yes.. trash the strips and get the liquid master kit ($25)
then test yer tank.. and test your tap water so you know what you are starting with

dang it 15 dollars down the drain.
