All the had at Lowes was Windsor system saver pellet they say 99.6 % pure salt will that work

No it has to be a Morton's it will not kill your fish its the same salt as APIs instead of paying $10 for a milk carton full to pay about $5 for over 40 pounds it simple cheap and works great and is more economical for multiple tanks

Ok was just wondering how long i have to keep the water warm? I got it up to 84 and added api salt my oscar and other fish have been free of the white dots for about 5 days
