Help with I'D please.

Mine would not accept flake food at all. He would eat cichlid pellets, blood worms; but it came to a point where I was having to buy feeder fish, because that's all he would eat.

If it is a Venezuelan, I will be picking up a ten gallon tank for feeder fish this weekend.

And thanks for the advice. This will be my first time with pike cichlids. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.

On a side note. I picked him up for $11.99 USD. Good deal or no?

Quick update if any one is interested. Tomorrow will be a week in the tank. Although he is still hiding 90% of the time, he has started to swim around the bottem of the tank. I'm still waiting for a good side shot opportunity tho.

I feed my tank a combination of cichlid flakes, cichlid bio gold, blood worms, brine shrimp, and shrimp pellets. He goes crazy over ther frozen foods and has bit at the rest.

I agree with C. sp. Venezuela. Btw I'd add some hiding spots to help your pike settle in, PVC pipes work well in a pinch.
