Was wondering if anyone could identify the 6 african cichlids my 29 gallon tank. I bought them as peacocks, and was wondering what the subspecies my be. They are the bigger fish in this tank.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Try some pics. The vid is too blurry. A 29 is too small for them. Look into buying a 55 gallon or larger.

Whoa I saw an oscar in the vid. Your gonna need some HUGE tanks.

I have a 60 and a 200 also. No oscar in there haha, your eyes may have just fooled you.

And yea, don't have the best of digital cameras, so sorry for the lower quality.

Thanks for the replies!
Look around 1:10, there is an oscar.

At 1:10 there is a spotted raphael catfish (which you can barely see cuz of quality) and a darker leopard ctenopoma.

The africans are the ones I need help on IDs with, minus the electric yellow.

there is an oscar... it gets chased from the rock by the black and white fish (<-thats my scientific name for it)

What i did see tho, was a yellow lab, possibly a rusty cichlid and an ahli (maybe)

Cool, I'll look up pictures of those names to see if they match. I'll try to get some pics up soon for better quality though.

And google leopard ctenopoma and then look at the images of them. That's the fish that my Julidochromis (the black and white fish) chases away from the rock, he's also the same fish at the end of the video that goes behind my heater in the corner of the tank.

No offense intended of course. =D
