females from Costa Rica, male honduran. :)

Yo pops quick question, I got my jag Pair together rite now and I'm watching closely , why does my male keep rubbing his belly against my rocks? Just wondering

My males does this too IMO he's clearing off a space for eggs to be laid , basically trying to encourage the female to lay
I could be totally wrong but that's what it looks like when mine does it , plus its always followed by a spawn shortly after

Got Jag in a community 220 ---at 7" he has taken over 1/4 of the tank already lol

When their frys become free swimming almost anything that move in the tank will get beat up or kill on sight :D
My tank is a planted tank long before I introduced my Jag pair in there so there are few species that live in there for some time already and I couldn't get them out due to their sizes and hiding between driftwood, plants. Those got killed over night (5x Octo aglae eater, 3x cory julli, 1x 3 inches GT, 6 inches Rainbow high fin red wolf), Royal Plecos (5 inches) is fine cause their tough armor scale and mostly enjoy it spot on some driftwood).
