the tank the lfs had them in just said arowana. can anyone tell me what sort they are .

Look to be silvers.

They're main source of food atm is their egg sack so don't feed them till that's gone mate.

That is where they hunt for food. They are also build to live in the top water due to their trap door mouth and how their body is engineered.

I suggest you should not feed them yet like most animals they start feeding when they lose their egg sacs
