The smaller one usually has a thing sticking from her bottom! But its not as large since her colors have change back to normal from the Black and white coloration.
since you just removed fish with a net, im assuming you stressed them all out a little, with the new pvc and them being alone,
give it a week on up, what sizes are they?

I took the pvc out today and made a slate cave. I know this sounds crazy but i think the fish hate white. The other 5 texas loose color in my tank with white rocks!
My texas fish are scared of everything. I never had fish like this all my other fish swim to the top but when they see me the texas hide from me. Also the female stomache is fat but she is hiding from the male under the pump. She has had this thing sticking from her anus for a while,but it was really big when she was black and white!
I didnt move the male and female from the tank; I just removed all the other fish. The texas male is about 5 inches and the female is about 3-3.5 inches. I have a total of 7 texas cichlids they were a good couple until I removed all the other fish. Well actually till this morning. After I removed the fish she lost her color! I been feeding the earth worms but the male usually eats them all before the female.
You can try separating your male and female. Take them apart for a week or so and feed her protein rich foods. This has worked for alot of my friends.
