They bread Monday and the eggs just hatched today!!! I do bvelieve that changing the water at 50% per week helped, ph ~7.0 at 79*F. Here's the parent and inside the clay pots are the eggs. Anyone who wants some in maryland feel free to give me a mail...these are Gold Jaguars!!!
Sorry to join the thread so late. I too have jags and Dovii
and really love the Parachromis family of fish. I currently have 3
pairs of breeding jags. They are prolific breeders.
I don't do anything special to get them to breed. I change their
diet daily from freeze dried krill, freeze dried bloodworms, frozen
bloodworms, frozen brine shrimp and sparingly I'll get a few dollars worth
of rosey reds. You got to love em'.
