My little tiger does the same, sometimes its just how they are :/ maybe when his bigger he'll grow out of it

The other cichlids are passive and seem to have no interest in the oscar whatsoever. He doesn't hide anymore (except when I use the gravel vacuum) and he seems to be fine with his cichlid companions. The only problem i ever had was that he got aggressive towards my dempsey when I first got him.
no I upgraded to a 150, the oscar is huge and is and never was bothered by his tank mates. He never hides anymore and he's 14in long and very happy.
