I actually consider co2 more important than lighting. Swords don't really need much co2. I will tell u right now though that injecting co2 accelerates plant growth by about 800%. Also one reason I like floating plants is they acquire co2 from the atmosphere not the tank. And they diffuse light if u need it. But beware most don't take flow very well. Iron is also known to bring out the redness in plants. Swords NEED root tabs to grow. They don't really grow without it. Crypts and lotus are also heavy root feaders. Liquid fertz are for stem plants and floating and pretty much every plant that isn't heavy root feeder. Beware certain plants are sensitive to excel like vals. I suppose you don't 'need' co2 injection but it certainly helps. Certain plants will not grow without co2 Injection however. And most foreground plants get leggy and tall without co2 injection.
