HELP with Peacock bass

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
thats what I would do, but that's also another reason I don't keep PBass.. they are way hard to pellet train.

spits shrimp back out and now wont even look at it. Should I try to train him to get on a pellet diet?
Starve him for a few days/weeks. Looking at your bass, I would say it's hardy enough to go a few weeks with out eating. Isn't really hard to train them, It's just a waiting game with these guys.

I personally like to wait two weeks, three at most.

Try Hikari food sticks they seem to be the easiest to start them on. If all else fails you could also try stuffing some goldfish with pellet food but that is not an ideal way to get him to eat pellets :)

that is a good idea for getting the nutrition into him. I feed him freshwater creek chubs that I catch in my local streams. I keep them for a week or 2 making sure they do not show signs of any current diseases which I believe is a much better idea than feeder goldfish at a LPS. I have always known feeders are the worst for my fish but looks like training him will benifit him in the long run.

My fish had that and it's just water change, salt and temp. up. And just an idea for nutritious vitamin rich food why don't you gut load feeders such as mealworms and feed it to him/her?
Cn you gut load feeder fish?
