...all of that is very good info and not to be discounted but guys...those Amazon Swords were originally cultured dry. You can tell because they have long skinny stems and fat leaves. Now that they are emersed the old growth will wither and new emersed growth will take its place. The new growths will have thinner stems and long leaves. I keep a ton of swords, very low maintenance plant. Put a light on it and a semi decent fertilizer once a month and it will grow. As for algae control... Snails are the best gardeners ever. They take all the work out of it.
