  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well I started giving him epsom salt baths but he was getting worse, so i stopped doing that and I just put him in the hospital tank again with a little epsom salt and the medication I have. He is swimming as if he is really weak like sometimes sideways, It's all or nothing now either he gets better or he dies, I'm really sad cuz I love that fish I've had him for 2 years now and he is such a character I'm going to be really sad if he does die. Please pray for his survival.

Lets try to back track.....what other symptoms besides his eye was he showing when it started? So we can better root out the cause so you can avoid it next time

Well I first notices one eye a little swollen about two weeks ago..
After a couple of days he got worts on his head then the got dark blotches around his face but I thought that was from the stress.
Then I noticed his stomach was swollen and he was constipated didn't **** for a week. Yesterday before he died he got swim bladder he started swimming head up tail down for about 3 hours until he died. When did a search on all these symptoms together I realised it was not popeye but dropsy he was suffering from.

The thing is I'm scared incase his female tank mate might catch this disease
