help with protein skimmers!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
ok i had a talk to the lfs guy (very nice guy knows his stuff) and he reckons that i need one (after viewing the fish that we want in the tank: very messy), although probably not until all the fish are in and i see how the filters and tank goes handling the bioload of a lot of messy fish.
Thinking about probably getting a Bekkett as i was told it would work wonders but it will cost me around a quarter of the price of the initial set up so wont be for a while (500AUD).

whoo!
here we go!!

LOL, i find it funny too when people fire up!!!

(this isn't directed at you Myteemouse, at everyone)
Anyway, we all know (those of us who have been in the hobby for a while) that so many different ways of running a tank will work, skimmer or not, bio filtration or not(besides live rock), mechanical filtration or not, etc, etc. Obviously people are expressing their opinion because what they have tried has worked!
