I need to buy pump(s) for my 210g, I'm building a 100g sump to go with it. I think it would be best to run two smaller pumps vs one large one? If one dies or becomes clogged I will still have water flow. Anyway, I'm looking at purchasing two Quiet One 4000's, reasonably priced and they appear to be energy efficient. They are rated at 1017 gph, I assume this is with 0' head height. I will have a head height of approximately 5'. My sump will have bio-media and a 45g refuge. I will be running a canister filter with a separate pump for mechanical filtration. Would these pumps work out for my tank/sump or is there something else I should be looking at? Reasonable cost and energy efficiency are important to me.

Quiet one they are not really quiet, i had the 4000 model and i sold it because noyse level issue, if that its not a big deal you cut go with them, cheap pump but you get for what you pay. I have a few different brands, [poseidon, eheim, blue line] but latelly i found one that i really like, the name its Syncra in north america, Tunze recirculation in Europe, extremelly quiet, energy effecient. There is a demostration on you tube if you want to check this pump, i really recomend it, check out.

^^ I will check out the pumps you recommended.

How about pump sizing?

I have 2 Reeflo Snapper pumps that I was going to post in the for sale section this weekend. They may be slightly too big for your application but with 2 of them at 5' of head pressure they should flow a little over 3000 gph or a turnover ratio of 14X. These pumps were used for 6 months and are nearly brand new.
