if you want to add one you could argue about the keeping of freshwater in fresh, brackish in brackish and salt in salt, and not "converting". theres always captive bred vs non captive bred, and affects on wild populations

Why Pirhanas and Snakeheads are a minor threat in northern states due to 'media hype'..

but why is it that..

Large fish like Pacus, TSNs, RTCs, Pbass, etc etc which would have the same diminishing effect on a habtit, are sold by the hundreds and thousands at a cheap price?

There needs to be better 'control' of allowed specimens in the aquarium industry!!

That should be some ideas right now that you could argue.

You could also do why fish don't grow to the size of their home, TFH just had a real nice article.

Think outside the box. Your professor has heard a million persuasive speeches from all the environmental nut jobs and he wants to staple his head to the floor every time he hears another one.

I did my speech on why chopping down the rain forest is good. There was only one outspoken tree hugger chick that kept looking at me like but I didn't want to eff her anyway. Pissing her off was priceless. I got an A in that class.

on the overharvesting, you could do it on how some marine fish are harvested with cyanide

instead of going the "Environmental Nutjob" bit, Why not aproach the subject from both angles. there are some exelent ideas here, but there are two sides to every topic. Conservation IS needed, but dont forget all those jobs that would disappear. Just an idea for an extra twist on your report.
