Help with sick rays!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
You should also post this in the stingray forum, people would help there.... most ray keepers dont see this area

THANKS for the tip, the only other tank mates are 4 spotted gar and one African pike. The pike is horrified of these huge black things, and the gar wouldn't even eat a feeder fish... Literally. Only massivore. What I can't tell is if it was irritation from sand that messed up the slime coat? Is it from different water? Is it a fungal infection from stress? Is it bacterial?

That's what I'm trying to figure out so i can save my female. I can tell you it came off easy, I can use my big magfloat near her and move the water enough to knock it off her back

Do a water change,
Avoid using to fine of a sand cuz it irritates the ray and your ph n gh level can never be stabilize. 3m quartz sand if possible.
use power pump to simulate under water current. it helps to clear whatever **** stuck in it gills.
Lastly dip in fish herb medication for healing..

Make sure the ph n gh level is stable at all time. very important.
