Help with staghorn algae!

I've read the opposite. I personally resolved my BBA with Seachem Flourish Excel and Hydrogen Peroxide and cutting down lighting time. It took me about a month or so to resolve the issue.
I was actually having some success with the excel before, I will give that another try once I'm done treating the ich I am currently battling. I was hoping that injecting co2 would cause the algae to die off but that doesn't appear to be happening yet. Thanks for your input! I had started to read the thread you linked I just haven't had time to read it all yet

I’m not 100% so don’t quote me on it but I think red algae grows better with more co2.
