Is its face normally that dark?
Ya it wasn't when he was younger it slowly changed I thought it was because of my dark substrate and the other dark rocks I have. I was going to change everything to lighter stuff and see if he would change. He is a great fish I have always wanted a trimac. Sucks to see him like this. He was hard to find

definitely a bouncy issue. Can't say for sure whim bladder or not. What are you feeding him right now and is he still eating? I would do epsom salt soaks to start. One tabletspoon per five gallons. Put him in a 5 gallon bucket with an air stone for about an hour as long as he is handling it well. do this three times a week to start. Also feed only sinking food incase any gas stuck in the intestines. Can't tell from the pictueres but does he appear bloated at all or have a bump on one side?
Just normal epson salt for the baths. I'm going to start doing them just dont want to do the wrong thing here.

Yup just normal epson salts
Ok thanks I just gave him his first bath only did it for a half hour. How do you recommend soaking his food in it. Or should I not do that. He eats everything but nls floating pellet is what he usually gets. I can feed him some sinking shrimp pellets for a few days or I can get a sinking nls pellet

Mix 1/2cup of distilled water with 3/4 teaspoon of epsom salt. It's best to use floating pellets or dehydrated food since they seem to hold more of the epsom salt solution. Keep soaking the floating nls until it won't absorb any more of the solution. Feed pellets on at a time so you don't lose too much of the solution to the tank water.
