HELP WITH TSN PLEASE!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Make sure you have an air pump into the tank.. if you can get a small dose of melafix, that might help you out.. a bit of salt, and try to keep his environment dark and quiet... I would avoid feeding as well, but I'll gladly let someone with more experience tell me otherwise..

Thanks moos mate, im doing a water change atm as the nitrates and nitrites are i little too high, there is also amonia present so not a good sign, i will pop down my lfs and get some melafix, but i think its something broken to be honest so it might not help.

done a 50% water change and paramiters seem to be normal, but my frontosa is picking on him now, hes got me really pissed matey so im giving him away free to good home.

I would rather get rid than see what happens so ive posted on the UK meet thread hoping some1 will bite and come get him asap.

As for tiny TSN, well hes just lying on his side in the corner of the tank where it is dark hes really trying but im not sure how long he will last like this matey , especially if Mr front keeps having sly digs.

This is a nightmare, i havnt had time to go to my lfs for some salt so im hoping to beable tio get down there asap. My heads rocking with this **** like mate

Unfortunately thats fishkeeping for you, never know whats gonna happen :(

Good example is I was looking after a small Oscar for a friend of mine, while he moved house, around 4", put him in my main tank with two full grown Oscars and 3 massive tinfoils.

Three days later I have had to get my m8 to come get it and take it to the LFS to look after, this little Oscar was bullying the crap out of my tinfoils!

Really sorry about your shovelnose, its horrible to watch I know, not sure what else to suggest, wish I had a solution but I dont :(

Keep us updated m8.

Ok guys heres what ive done, its obviously a really bad case of stress so ive took the jags and some babys back outa the 4ft and put them in the 8ft tank, Mr TSN is in the 4ft by himself, well with a few babys for when he wants his revenge lol, sounds awfull but he will eat when he wants to in this situation.

So hes in a well ventalated tank all alone nice and dark with perfect water paramiters, if that doesnt help i dont know what will, heres to waiting and seeing eh. Thanks for all the support guys, without you lot i would av been alone, well apart from me pal marko, hes allways there like a pain in the arse haha JK marko

Sounds like you have done all you can really at this point, sounds like a good plan.

Hope he pulls through ok.

Its cool matey i think i might have cracked it, we see how he does in the 4fter ey, My lfs told me its defo stress so get him out asap.

I was thinking about all the babys but hey they can allways spawn more when we move so theres a small amount of life food in there for my TSN for when he feels the need to eat, i hope this works

Ok guys, since being in the 4ft i have noticed my TSN's pectoral fins are bent at the ends, both of them the bone or bone part of the fin looks like it has come away from the fin itself and looks damaged, i think this could be his steady problem.

Am i right or wrong in saying that if these parts of the fins are broken then he cant poss stay straight in any kind of water? Will these heal or are his days as a tsn over?
