So after having so many problems with my tank I now find white spot on my fish :(. I don't like using Meds but I do always keep salt to hand.my wave maker has just packed in so by turning up the temp after my wave maker broke will that be to much for the fish? Also I read online 1ts to every 4g is that right? Will my fish take salt Geo's sd's and cory's firemouths? Do I add the salt strait to the tank or add it in a water change?
Thankyou

the cories may be sensitive to salt, add that dosage and see how they and the geos behave. I have treated with salt in tanks with cats and loaches with little irritation to either species. if they tolerate the salt well then crank the heat and treat for at the very least 8-9 days.

My tank is 220g I don't have that amount of salt? 440 tps is that not to much?

1tsp per gallon is right for Ich. If you don't have enough salt is to keep the heat high and treat the fish with a salt dip. 3tsp per gallon and dip for a few min.

The link says 2tsp per gallon? Do I add it strait to the tank or in a water change.
Temp is on its way to 30

You want to make it easier on yourself? get a bag of water softener salt. solar salt or whatever brand at your local hardware store with NO additives. way cheaper.
