Help with white spot

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
adding direct to the tank wont hurt anything unless the fish roll around in it while it dissolves.

WATCH the geos and cories, if they start flicking hard do a water change and switch to using a med like paraguard instead.

I think there was just geo's flicking but Mrs said she sure they was doing that before

its considering part of the TDS but I don't think a nitrate test should register that.

Also, are they breathing heavy? I'd do a 50% WC, those geos might not be handling the salt real wll.

Can high temp kill white spot with out salt?
If I do a 50% should I add salt back in or not

I have no idea. I think I'm doing my water changes wrong as well:(
1.fill up my bath to the same temp as my tank.
2.take out water from my tank.
3.add stress coat to my bath.
4.run water from Bath to tank.

Is this wrong should I be adding my stress coat to my tank?
Should I add the correct amount of stress coat to the volume of the tank or just the new water going in?

Iv been running my 55g for around 2 years with no problem. But looking on the net 10 mins ago got me thinking am I doing it right?

Maybe a stupid question but you rinsed everything out of the bath before you fill it?

I've always filled buckets straight from the tap, while ones filling up I dump the other in the tank.

Do a wc and cut the salt dosing by half

I have a bad back so that's the only way I can do it. Ye bath is 100% clean before I start. Just did a 40% water change and added a new air line with a sponge filter on.had no air stones left.also I added salt to the bath and not the tank this time
