E-mail Jonahs aquarium who specialized in Dipnets for collecting natives (they have over 20yrs experience in catching and breeding natives).
I actually have a dipnet that is almost exactly the same as Jonah's aquarium dipnets. The problem is I can't actually see the fish, I've just found some washed up dead before. So I know they are in there. If you look up Lassiter falls Crabtree creek on google images you will know what I'm dealing with. It's an old dam on a creek. Under the dam there is fast clear colder water that gets pretty deep at some points. As you go downstream its a slow muddy river.

Pickerel are easy to find at night if you use a spotlight. I also found lots of bowfin in a dried up puddle next to a lake. Good luck :)

Haha, I have those two fish. It's the northern hog sucker I'm after.

They use those as muskie bait at my bait store!

Are you talking about the white suckers that are using as bait, not hogsuckers?

I googled northern hog sucker and thats what they look like. Ive kept a few before thinking theyd clean my tank. Theyre pretty cool looking.

I don't think the hogsucker are sold as a bait. You probably saw young white suckers.
