next to da beech... boyee
i bought a new fish and did not quaritine it properly needless to saw i am learning my lesson as we speak. about 3 days ago a worm came out of my fishes ass. it was stuck to a plant for about an hour before i threw it out. i could see there were little segments in the worm so with alittle reading i believe that it was a tape worm. the next day there were some small white dots stuck on the glass. some of them were moving! the next day there were twice as many on the glass. this problem is freaking me out and pissing me off all in one.

i am trying DISCO-WORM parasite and fluke controll (for the water)
active ingredient Di n Butyl Stannate

also GEL TEK ultra cure px (feeding it to the fish)
active ingredients Praziquantel
Flubenol
Metronidazole

also Jungle Anti-Parasite medicated fish food

can any one recomend anything. has any one else had fish with worms? what did you do

don't use all those meds at once you could make things worse...wait till oddball or guppy see your thread they'll give you some good advice

wait for guppy he helped me out. I just went through a similar thing only with some kind of nemetode. Parasitic worms suck best of luck to you

Worms aren't that bad as long as you don't get an infestation of ewurms.

I agree that you should not use a lot of meds at once but the difference between the gel tek and the jungle food is just that the jungle antiparasite food also contains levamisole, the fish won't over eat on either food so use what ever they eat better, just make sure to not feed nonmedicated foods during treatment and use for the full 10 days.
I have never used the other product so make sure you follow directions and check for interactions, other wise use something like paraguard which is a prazi-metro mix and pretty safe.
