I have two German Rams in my tank and I just discovered the bigger one breathing hard and lying on its side at the bottom of the tank. I just did a water change 5 days ago and my temp has been steady at 80C. The other smaller Ram is doing just fine. I haven't noticed anything different on the exterior. The only possible difference could be its belly. It may be a little bit bigger, but I may just be looking for something. Any ideas? I'm stressed!

What size tank? What are the other inhabitants? Have you tested the water? 80C= celsius? or did you mean 80F= fahrenheit? Huge difference. 80 degrees Celsius could very well slow boil your fish. Any other information you can provide can help in determining what's wrong. Hopefully some more experience peeps can help ya out.

Thanks for the reply. Tank is 25 gallons, temp 80F, water cleaned 5 days ago. Unfortunately, my Ram died. When I pulled him out, his belly was enlarged and after a few hours it was very red. I don't know if this helps? Does anyone have any ideas?

How long have you had them?
