My EB Dempsey IS realy fat and is inflamed around his anus. Does he have a bloat? Is there anthing i can do to help him

What do you feed, how often do you feed it, and how long do you feed it for?

What are your temps, tankmates, and water change schedule?

If it's just blockage from eating to much or too high of protien food, Epsom salt will ease the bloat, about a table spoon per ten gallons, raise the temps a few degrees, a water change won't hurt either (then add the salt), if it's bacterial bloat he's doomed.

well I just went away on vacation for a week and when I came back the temperature was 95 degrees and the bubbler had floated above the water. He now has little fiber sticks coming out

I also feed my tank 10 goldfish and 10 rosyreds minnows once a week. I also feed them some cichlid pellets daily

You said he has "fiber sticks coming out." That could indicate parasites. Are the sticks moving?

Also, you are spinning the wheel in feeding your fish rosy reds, etc. Feeders are full of parasites, and there's no need to feed your fish live food like that.

to much food, my male con was like that a few days ago, his anus was swollen and had stuff hanging out, so i stopped feeding and added some aquarium salt before i left on the 24th, i came back the 26th and he was fine. so just lay off feeding for a couple days, and as for the live food, that should be a treat not a constant source of food.
