I went fishing to a lake here in connecticut (lake saltonstall) i saw people take out some big bass (largemouth bass) and i went fishing for like 5 hours and did not cath nothing but sun fish i will like to know what is the best lure for largemouth bass ??????

I was using a black spinnerbait, black worm, nightcrawler, and a little plastic fish that looks like a small sun fish. i really need help because i want to catch a bass and i will like to catch a small bass to put it in my tank. so please someone help please.
depends on what they're biting that day. I always have luck with white spinnerbait, and buzzbate.
generally, as long as you try a topwater and a deepwater, you should have luck. unless you're just fishing in the wrong place.

i know there are fish in the lake but how do i know if there are fish in the area. the only place that i got only 1 bite was not too deep but not shallow and it was covered with tall vegetation so what should i use or do...???
bass usually like to hide out around points and inlets, or around any area where the water quickly gets deep or shallow. I'd fish deeper water mid day, and shallower water morning and late afternoon. shade, under docks, around fallen trees...
I'm not an expert bass fisherman, by any means. those are the basics, as far as I know. don't stay in one place for too long, if you're not at least getting a nibble within an hour, move somewhere else; with different terrain/charicteristics.
