Help!!!

This started after the water change? Or before? When was the previous water change before this one?

Started before the water change, but all the rummy noses heads were red as they can be a few hours ago so the water quality was fine. Previous water change was a few weeks ago, but the tank is heavily planted and has plenty of filtration.

It shouldn't be a case of old tank syndrome then. Sometimes water companies will change the water without alerting anyeone, I guess that's possible. I assume you haven't added any chemicals, fertilzers or pH products or something like that? That you haven't used all along?

Nothing has been added, but I am currently Overdosing excel to get rid or algae but that should not affect the fish.

Two Rummy Nose Tetras are now dead, all others are fine now. The Ram is acting Normal again... and the GN Plec never had a reaction of any kind.

Not sure what "Excel" is but I keep reading threads about the algae killing chemicals being harmful to fish, even when they claim they're not. I've not ever used them though so I can't speak 1st hand. Excel may not be that though.

Excel is Flourish Excel made by Seachem. It provides a liquid source of carbon to plants.
