i cant figure waht cichlid i want to put in my tank with some of my bichirs and i was thinking cuban cichlid but would it be to aggressive. I have a small one in there right now but as it grows will i have a problem?

how big is your tank?

I had many cichlids that I kept with my bichirs before. I kept electric blue jd, jd, convict, salvini, loesilei, midas, rd, oscar and severum with no problems. Cochild would rather veat up each other rather than beating up a bichir. However I have to get rid of all those cichlid when I started to add some datnoids. I only let the electric blue jd stay as I want some nice looking blue colored fish in my tank.

I have a red jewel in with my bichirs (upper jaw though, so they stay smaller) and he's doing pretty good so far.

its a 125 and the cuban is 3-4 inches long and the bichirs are around 7+.... i just want to know if once this guy gets bigger will i have a problem i have a 55 with just water in it right now and i think i will now keep ot running just incase the cuban goes agro..... right now they are all feeding on ghost shrimp and bio gold.

i have a breeding pair of convicts and a belly crawler pike with my 3 sengals.

ok well i got 2 senys 1 del and 1 palmas polii. i got a 3 inch cuban in there right now. i got a seprate 55 gallon that if he goes agro i can put him in.

ok so i guess im gona take out my cuban and put him in the 55 for now till i can get rid of the 55 and set up a 75. For the bichir tank im gona get like 6 bala sharks more bichirs and something for the top of the water. Anyone know what can live in a 125 for a couple years???
