Something wrong with my stringray. the outter skin of my ray is turning white. its look like the skin is rotten? please tell me how to help him

I think the four motoro stingrays we rescued had/have the same, but it's disappearing. I'm not sure what it is exactly, either. If it's bacterial, fungal, or something else. Is he eating alright? Does he have tank mates? What have you done so far? Pictures will definitely help

Feed him as much as he will eat.
Salt -- 3lbs. per 100 gallons.
Make sure water is pristine.
Eliminate any stress factors (tank mates, light, etc.).
Keep the tank dark.

Good luck and keep us posted. :)

how is ur sand? How deep... normally that is caused by having to deep of substrate where poo and other stuff get stuck in it and starts to rot

well before posting this i hope you did a massive water change atleast 50% followed by another 50% water change.... this should allready be done... now it seems to me your A describing the slime coat pealing away or B disk rot PIX are needed but increase your temp to 86 ish and add salt 33lbs per 100 gallons as high as 4 lbs but post some pictures

33lbs!?!?! Holy shibby there won't be any water left, just a salt paste.;)

umm yea only 3 pounds LOL not 33 GR8 where are you need you to edit that buddy LOL...

my camera is in store (fixing) i've already change the water 2 times.i'll try to add salt and keep my tank dark.

Good. Keep us posted!

also do more water changes and keep replacing the salt... if you have substrate (sand gravel) clean it very very well at this time....
