HELP!!!

I am assuming you mean dont let the iodine touch his eyes or mouth.
The turned out terribly so am going to get a friends camera. He is already acting alot better he is responding to me now instead of just laying there lifelessly now. He wil wip me with his tail everytime I change his food bu once he is out he really calms down. He was even eating from my hand which was really comforting to me since I hadn seen him eat yet. The jaw is still in pretty rough shape but I know it will take time before I see some dirastic changes on that and warm baths are really helping his toes I am still some how managing to get some feces off it. I just cant wait until he is 100% healthy.

the fact that hes starting to whip is a good sign. try adding real colorfull veggies to his salad. and try fruits thats are real aromatic. that should jump start him feeding. try strawberries, blue berries, mango, papaya, my big guy goes nuts for grapes and bananas.

i also use bananas to give medications as well. you can give him extra calcium by mashing it in the banana if he is reluctant to eat his salad when you add the vitamins and such

That is a good idea with the bananas to get them more calcium i will deffinately have to give that a try.

If he doesant eat yet, maybe he is in need of some help;) Heres what i usualy do when I get that kind of cases (a much controversial tecnike because some say its adictive and then the lizards wont eat by themselfes, but Ive been using it for a long time and all my animals eat by themsefes even if I like to pamper them a bit from time to time:D): hand feeding! Its VERY efective especialy with iguanas! All you do is put the ig in your hand gently or in your lap if hes tame enough and simply let him stay there. Then put a tip of a leaf between its lips. He should start eating it. If not push VERY GENTLY a litle furter. He should catch the idea in no time:D Be very carefull and gentle because its bones are still fragile. It has many advantages including: you control the amount of food and so you give him a good feeding, it decreses the need for less healty but more apealing foods like banana to be on the menu (dont include it for now, too high in phosphorus, only dark leafy greens and things like shreded green beans and haycorn squash) you avoid the iguana eating only the things she fells like and not even toch the rest because she doesant know or like them and finely its a great way for you and your ig to get to know each other and for her to start getting used to humans and to see they are not a treat. THIS IS NOT FORCE FEEDING! you are only encoranging her to eat, all you do is put food in her mouth, all the rest is up to her if she doesant like it she can spit it out. Its not unusual for igs that are absolutley starving to refuse food just because they are confused and scared and once you start the process many will eat all by themselfes rigth from your hand. Dont feed much, only enough to bump a litle their abdominal area (of corse if she all of the sudden starts eating by herself let her have all she wants) and if need be repeat a cople of times in that day. The food must be all well shreeded except for larger parts of the leafy greens, and visible to her during the woule process. SHOW her the food:D

you can also make a slurry for him to drink and if need be you can use a syringe with a peice of tube on it to get him to eat.

take his green and veggies add to a blender and add in some watered down pedialite. it will get some nutrition to him as well as keep him hydrated.

also remember because of the way his mouth it he may not want to eat because it may be uncomfortable for him.

That is more invasive Mike;) I generaly use that in turts and there is not yet the need for it here. Its rare that you need to use it on igs because they can be most time hand fed wich turts dont. Lets wait and see:D

i wouldnt really consider it invasive. i just place the tube in there mouth and they go nuts for it. you can also just use the syringe and put a few drops on the tip of his nose.
