Have a female FH. Water filtration WC sch. is all good. In just a matter of a day or two the fish has a lump about 1.5" in size on her left side (like swollen stomach) but only on her left side.
The fish also sitting on the bottom of tank not moving very much and not eating at all showing stress stripes. I'm thinking bloat. please doen any body have any ideas!

Well i could not stand by any longer. I picked up some Metronidazole and after a 40% wc added with epson salt. If fish still kicking after three days, the i will do it again.

It sounds like an internal problem. Sorry, I know that's stating the obvious! Perhaps something has ruptured inside or she has internal inflammation. I doubt there is anything you could do other than to see a vet.

is there any way you think you could have parasites? any wild caughts that have been in the tank?
