dechlorinator and a filter.

and some shells so it can grind it beak down.

Most importantly a cycled tank, then:

1) Welcome to MFK
2) Marine salt (not aquarium salt) to keep up the salinity up as brackish water for young fish and full saltwater as an adult.
3) Everything else you would need for any other tank, heaters, filters etc...
4) Oh, and more than likely no tank mates unless you like fish with stubs where their fins used to be, (learned that the hard way)
5) Do you research and use the search button (don't get offended by that;)) in the "brackish" sub-forum here on MFK: http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/search.php?searchid=5760190
<<< or >>>
head over to http://www.**************.com/forum/ There is a ton of info on both sites on how to care for a GSP properly.

know too that more than one species may be sold as GSP and the care can vary somewhat

Hi Eugene,

I moved your thread here in puffer forum since your questions pertain mostly to GSP. You will get more accurate responses here I am sure. Good luck.

Everything you need to know:

check out puffer punks link, that what got me set up with my new GSP. 2 weeks and counting so far so good (nitrates) Oppm, ph 7.8, ammonia 0ppm, nitrite 0pmm, sg .008

You mean 1.008. ;)
