help!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i went to my lfs, i was told to take all fish out (which i did, they are currently in my qt tank) and let the tank ride it out for 4 weeks without any live fish to host the ick. I raised the water temp to 80 (per lfs) and in the process rescaped my tank.. lets hope this work, i have lost 3 out of 8 fish, my trigger, yellow tang and small clown...

lets hope this works :-/

also i was told to dip the fish in freshwater clorinated tap water for 3-6 minutes (same temp as tank) then put them back in the qt tank and in 2-3 days i should see a difference in the fishes condition.. has anyone does this before?

bummer sorry to hear of it

I have to ask your sump is it clear of detrius

I have a canister filter and i replaced all filter with poly filter and new carbon bags after this started to happen., tank is very clear and looks to be clean..

Freshwater dipped - flame angel
Six Line Wrasse looks healthy
Lionfish (suspect carrier) also looks healthy

Well to be honest with you guys this has killed my will to wait it out another month, i have a couple of prospective buyers for my liverock, and corals... i must just do it and get out of saltwater fish keeping for now and continue to raise my lgm bass for box stores... we'll see if they show me the money...

Update on fish; I now only have 2 fish left, 6 line wrasse and yellow watchman goby, which both seem fine, all my inverts and corals looks great.

2 out of 8 fish...sucks big time
