hi, is there any algae eater other than plecos, which may work well with bichirs? I removed my previous plecos when I saw them sucking my bichirs slime coats.

If yours leave snails alone, Olive nerites acclimated to fresh water. Unfortunately, 2 of mine happen to like escargot.

thanks, but uh I am afraid my endli would eat them, I had some rainbow sharks before but they all ended up inside my endli.
I guess the best algae cleaners would be my self alone.

umm, i dink everything will be eatten by endli.. you can try a big SAE

siamensis algae eater (SAE)

flagtail prochilodus ??

What kind of pleco? I have two that don't touch my polys. L333 and starlight bristlenose. I have had other bristlenose suck on slime coat but this one has not done it even once, but depends on the size of the endli. I have driftwood and they seem to stay on that till night then the L333 cleans the gravel and starlight does a number on the glass. Your best algae clean up is a good filter or maybe try a flagtail.

Endli food, both. Flagtail might be okay if larger than the endli to start. SAE would be toast.

its just a common plecos, the one that I got before was half inside of my endli mouth before I pulled it pull it out and removed the pleco into a separate tank. And when the pleco got bigger I put it back into similar tank. But then I saw the pleco sucking the slime coat of my endli, was that a revenge????
I could get siamensis algae eater, but they have to be big enough so they're not going to be another meals for my endli. How about loaches?wheater loaches perhaps?or maybe other type of loaches?
I live in indo, I saw some loaches being sold in the lfs, I dunno what its called but its got a long nose, kind of like pinnocio nose

no loach are good bottom dweller, they eat off the ground, i dont dink they will eat algae.. try flagtail =0

my bichirs are with a flagtail. does a good job in keeping away the algae.

flagtails dont always do good job, most will get bored of algae
