So here's my story, 3weeks ago i had green water, cured it by doing 25% percent water change everyday and keeping the light off my tank, anyways i purchased i bass a 2weeks ago and i was still doing water changes and my pb was a little shy but got used to it. and last week my pb was more active then ever swimming around doing what happy fish do. well 2 days ago my pb was acting weird, thought something was wrong with the water so i did a 50% water change. And every time i do a water change my pb stays in a corner for awhile then starts swimming around, so i didn't mind it for awhile till an hour, it was still in the same corner. so i decided to feed it (btw i use feeders) and like a hunter it'll go at it like there's no tomorrow well its been 3 days and the feeders are still there. it's like he hasn't eattin for 3 days and hes pale like a mother shut your mouth. anyways i had a plectrum in there also, but it died last night i think because of that water change. Ive been watching my pb and the skin looks not healthy its like its skin is peeling.

please help.

your doing w/c too often....imo. every other day is ok...not every day. what is your temp? should be @ 86-87 if the pbass is still small. Dont do any wc's for a few days....what are you using for feeders?

my temp is at 82F, and I'm using gold fish as feeders. i just checked up on my fish 5 minutes ago and its scales were bothering me so i decided to touch and see what it was and it was a bunch of flakes. like its skin is coming off.. what does that mean? is my water infected by something?

Is your tank fully cycled. You need to do a full water test so you know if there is a problem with the water. Results should be
ammonia - 0
nitrite - 0
nitrate - below 40
Also I noticed you said you have a plectrum in your tank. Does your pbass play the guitar?

Thanks for all the help though guys...at least I'll know what to do if ever my other fish gets sick (smaller tank)
I'm going to start over and learn how to take care of my tank first...before I buy my other fish.
