HELP!!

I use pot scrubbies for my bio media. They are cheaper and work better than anything else I have found. I wish I knew you were running a HOB filter because I would of steered you away from that. HOB's are only good for Mechanical filtration in my opinion. I had 2 big HOB's on my 75 QT tank that were rated for 110 gallons and 2 4" pups would spike the ammonia to 1.5. Canisters are good but sumps are the best. They add more water volume and loads of bio media. Sorry to hear you lost those 2. You have had them for what 7-8 months now?

yea, long enough to get attached to the little dudes. On a good note, my only survivor is swimming good and eating like a pig. I was trying to give him a couple of days to regroup but he was giving me those feed me eye's. Do you all think I need to dump another 20 to 40% water in a couple of days? I plan on getting a test kit tomorrow, got home to late the last couple of days to get that done.

I've done another 40% water change and everything is looking good again. My last stingray is doing great, thats what messes me up. He never missed a beat the whole time all this was going on. I guess some sting ray have a greater tollerance towards ammonia? I'm sure glad.
