GUYS I BOUT MY 6 INCH RED DEVIL AROUND A MONTH AGO AND ILL ADMIT THE FIRST WEEK THE WATER QUALITY WASNT AT THE CONDITION IT SHOULD'VE BEEN BUT MY WATER HAS BEEN PERFECT FOR THREE WEEKS. IVE BEEN USING ALL MY TRICKS IVE LEARNED THE PAST YEARS WITH MY SALTWATER FISH REGARDING THE WATER AND I KNOW ITS PERFECT. I EVEN TOOK IT TO MY LFS TO HAVE IT TESTED AND THE GUY SAID ITS PERFECT. AND MY FISH IS STILL TERRIFIED OF ME AND ANYTHING IN MY ROOM ALL HE DOES IS HIDE UNTIL THE TIME COMES WHERE ALL THE LIGHTS ARE OF THEN HE STARTS SWIMMING. I DONT KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO. ALSO HE EATS PERFECTLY FINE AND HAS HIS FULL COLOR AND SHOWING NO SIGNS OF BEING SICK.:nilly:

HE IS IN A 55G BY HIMSELF

FIRST OFF, STOP WRITING IN ALL CAPS. IT MAKES THINGS ANNOYING TO READ AND PEOPLE WONT WANT TOO HELP YOU.

But i wouldn't be worried. Hes just a little skittish.

yeah since you wrote in caps im gonna throw you in my piranha tank....when i get one...

ok its not really a big deal, its only been 3 weeks, hes probably still shy or getting used to his new environment, 6 inch is not really that small either, like my fh i got as a baby, and now hes 3inches, and aint afraid of me lol

Are you familiar with the concept of dither fish? Google it. That could help with the shyness.
i was thinking of that but wont the rd just kill it. what fish can i use?

Giant danios are great dither fish. They are really fast swimmers, as long as you provide lots of hiding spaces, I imagine they would at least last long enough to bring the fish "out of its shell."

Look just take it out put it on the barbie, im sure it cant run from you then. :D
