my stingrays got ahold of my green spotted puffer, and yes i now know that i shouldn't have put the puffer in with them. i lost one of my stingrays today at about 3, and they got ahold of the puffer last night at about 9. my female is still having a hard time and i dont want to lose her too. what should i do?

goodluck.... depends on how much damage there has been done... I just wander if you say you KNEW not to put a puffer in with them, then why would you? why would you even risk it!?

His post says he now knows he shouldnt have put them together, don't think he realized that before.

Good luck, don't know what you can do except keep the stress low on them, lights off and make sure the water parameters are good.

All you can do now is keep the stress down. I'm sorry to hear that.

I wonder if high heat will denature any of the protein structure of toxins.. I'm just thinking out loud...

Since this has all happened, her losing her little boyfriend and the puffer poison, I think she is pulling out of pretty good but seems pretty stressed. She just keeps swimmng back and forth in the bubbles, kinda flying I guess you could say and still wants nothing to do with food. Is there anything I can give her for stress that I can get from my LFS?

Time and patience will heal all wounds. (literally and metaphorically)

Don't do anything drastic, maintain your normal feeding and cleaning routines. Rays has an amazing immune system, we really don't give them the credit they deserve.
