Ok, next time i'm home i'll try and take better pics...

I'm not sure how long it's been there, but it's been less then 2 months

I use Forma-Green by National Fish Pharmaceuticals.

the water was fine when i left, i haven't checked recently.

yes your description seems very accurate, I believe the mark is right by, not coming from the nostril...

He says he's pretty sure it's gotten bigger, but couldn't swear by it...

It sounds like it may be lymphocystis, which more commonly effects cichlids, or it may be a benign or cancerous tumor. Do you know how old this fish is?

Unfortunately, there is no effective treatment for lymphocystis or tumors. The good news is that it probably will not cause any health problems.

ugh, well the bumblebee is not TOO old, (only like 2-3 years i believe) but then again i got it from a petsmart i believe so it may be horrible genes or something... ok thank you for all your help...

Slightly Better pics now... best i'm gunna be able to do :( bad camera i guess

yes it is coming out of the nostril, which looks extra painful cuz it looks like it's spreading the nostril larger.

It has definately grown since i last took pictures, and now it looks kinda like it popped or has a chunk missing out of it... IDK what to do, now it's scales seem to be flaking off.. (only like one or two, but its still not healthy i'm sure)

It's really disturbing, like the fish looks so sad :(

What would you do?

Yes, it looks like it has grown quite a bit in a short period of time, and seems fairly aggressive.

I would say this is either lymphocystis or more likely cancer (perhaps squamous cell carcinoma). The only way to get a definitive diagnosis is to get a sample from the mass, use special stains on it, and look at it under a microscope. This isn't an option, so the best we can do is say what it probably is.

At this point it is a quality of life issue. If you think the fish is suffering, then it might be best to humanely euthanize it. If it seems to be ok, and you want to try some treatments just in the off chance it's something that will respond to treatment, you could try some antibiotics and antiparasitic medications.
