I came home from work to find my new freddy floating on the top of the tank, he is alive but he's on his side, not belly up. my JD bit all of his fins almost totally off. is there anything i can do to make him survive? i put him in a 3 gallon glass bowl i had laying around as a hospital tank. please help!

he's doing alright now, i put stress coat in. and yes to the air supply. he's not moving much but he's upright, i'd assume he's extremely worn out...
You're going to need to heat the hospital tank. With open wounds like that he will be very susceptible to ich.
i put some malachite green in too just in case. and yes i know i have to heat the water. i have a spare heater
