I went to my LFS and aquired a juvinile pike cichlid,the price tag had no Taxonomy info,so i don't have ANY idea of the variety i have,but i'll describe it. First off,he looks like a Snakehead!!!!! He has a Horizontal stripe with breaks in it,a single spot in it's tail,and has a greyish back with a white belly.He is amazing,i have him in a 90 Gallon with 1100 gallons a hour of filtration,i also do have my bearings about me with tropical fish care,so ill be alright there,i just wan't some advice on what i have and the best way to rear it!!!!!thanks.........i guess now that i got back to tropicals i should change my sig,hehe

It's not a snakehead,it was just a description of it's dorsal fin area,which has red lining it.............but no camera,ill try and put one up.

Crenicichla sp. 'belly crawler'....great picture by the way. They get to about 10" max...mine was pushing 10.5" when he died. Normally they won't get much larger than 10", however not many people actually keep them long enough for them to reach max. size.
They have an atrophied swimbladder, which is why most of the time they lay on the substrate. They can get aggressive, but as long as they have a place to hide and stake a claim to they are aight. Just don't keep them with other bottom dwelling cichlids, as there will be a conflict as they try to each set up territories.
Try to give it as varied of a diet as possible, as more is better.
