I have a 15 inch Male Dovie who has developed this puscular growth on his forehead. I have checked my tank, no Ammonia, no Nitrate/nitrite problems and he was in a 180 by himself any suggestions whats wrong and if so what can I treat him with. I have him in a 20 gallon hospital tank now.

thx

I have only had him for about a month i bought him in Seattle. It started of as a small swelling under the skin and then just got larger and larger until in burst out white puss. There is a pretty deep hole.

If its HLLE then how could he get it sooo fast especially since it cant be water quality?

If it ruptured puss it is not lympohsis.

If it is hith it is easy to treat. You can have perfect water and sometimes get it. Heximita is the protozoa that is demonized as the cause in cases like yours. Some times just the stress of moving can let this bug flourish.

Metronidazole works very well and it is cheap. SeaChem sells a powdered form that is my favorite to use.
