Help.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If eyes are getting worse, then stop with meds. It doesn't seemed to have helped.
Do 30% wc every 2-3 days without fail.
Stop with 70%. Wc's.
Keep water pristine and as last post said... Maybe increase increase water movement & turnover.
U have done quite a bit recently in changing tank conditions, water, meds, etc

Keep things simple and stable for the time being ( ie temp and water)
With big waterchanges the temp fluctuates too much, especially every day.
Do not remove substrate.
I'm prob not the best person to advise on thinbars, but if my Indos had this , then I would just try to keep water stable and clean.
Maybe move the clown loaches
I'd also hook up a small canister or en eheim 2252 internal; and just fill that with carbon or better still polyfilter. That will really remove all bad stuff / meds from your water .
Not much more I can advise.
Please keep us updated. Good luck
Those ntts are nice.

Are they still feeding?

This has happen to me in the past with my siamese datnoid, when getting it I just threw it in my tank, suddenly my datnoid eyes turn white immeditely. I changed my tank water out 100% and add a little dose of salt and it cleared up in 24 hours!

100 % wc!!! Dam.
Seemed to have worked for you .

However The circumstances are different here .

This all happened following the introduction of the fire eel. Then the CL getting sick. Then the meds.

NTT are now way near as tough as ST or Indos. Fact.
They are the least hardy of all tigers.

Inm answer to your question, yes everything is feeding, well it was last night. I'll do as recommended with the WC, i'll add a power head and salt.
I've also added a small corner filter i haver which is the only carbon i have at the moment.

They seem to be ok Ade. I'm not sure if I can see a bit of improvement today. None of them have got any worse anyway. They are still all eating, and they can all still see which is the important thing. Split tails and fins look no worse than a few days ago. I'm surprised how aggressive they are at the moment. They also floating near the water line when the lights are off, i presume it's the darkest part of the tank. I'll just keep up with the WCs until is gone.

I made a bad mistake with the eel. I was in two minds when I bought it, then wasn't really happy with it when it was in the tank. Thing nearly cost me dearly. I've lost all my CLs, some of which were pushing the 6 inch mark, that takes time.
I threw it in the tank at the same time i threw a green aro in there!! Nearly lost the lot!

I understand your frustration. I'd be be too.

Main thing is the ntts are eating. tigers very rarely go on hunger strike. So it's a good sign.
Keep everything stable and remember not to do anything that swings water params too much .

A marked improvement today.
One of the NTTs has it worse than the other 2. This one always hung around the CLs hiding spots, so i presume it had more exposure to the cloumnaris than the others. They're all looking better now so thanks.
