hey guys

got myself two fish on sunday (fene and flowerhorn) and i have hit hard times

it started yesterday when they started acting weird, like laying on the bottom (fene), and floating at the top uncontrollably (ie. swim bladder problem, flowerhorn) this morning their condition had gotten much worse with both fish in the worst condition possible.

upshot of it is i came home from work tonight to find my fenestratus dead. and the flowerhorn looking better and attempting to swim but still unable and just floats to the top and is also breathing heavily.

i have eliminated any water quality problems but doing a full water test, and also the fact that the 10 resident scissor tail rasboras are still alive i'm beat.

please help me, i don't want to loose the flowerhorn that i paid a pretty penny for.

thanks

scott

Tail shredded or any other signs or just odd swimming. Temp of tank?

Did you acclimate the fish, if so, how? Please post your water test results including temp. Also, what size tank and filtration?

just odd swimming, temperature is 27?c just normal

i dropped a thermometer in there to check

nah his tail is fine, no signs of physical damage, and the fene and flowerhorn are separated so there was no aggression between them

yes fish were acclimitised slowly, using an airline drip method so introduction was very very safe.

PH: 7.1
Ammonia: 0
Nirite: 0
Nitrate: 20ppm
