When you say that the plecos are gone, do you mean that you had them re-homed, or your Catfish ate them?
Catfish ate them I'm assuming it was near the time when the local pet store ran out of feeders it's preaty hard to keep feeders in there for long he eats like 10-12 per night I don't buy them daily so don't worry he's not being over fed. I got a tiger shovelnose a few days ago to
