Need more info. No growth or anything? It wasn't eating? How long have you have it? If its new did you quarantine it? How did the other fish treat it? How old was it? (Full growth or baby). How often do you do maintenance on your aquarium and what are your parameters?

I agree that some fish die for seemingly no reason, but with other info people on here might help more. A 100% WC wouldn't hurt, but if there's a bacteria or fungus then it may not help completely. I would try to find the reason it died first, and if no conclusion comes up then it was probably just a random death. I would keep up on water changes, and make sure your ammonia and all that stuff is 0.

I bought that fish as a baby aroun 1inches now after about 7-8 months it was about 4.5 inches...she was very aggressive and sent many of my cichlids to heaven..
I do a 50% water change once a week..
Their was no apparent growth or any external sign of illness acc. To me...
Now i am just worried about my red dragon shall i completely refill my tank again with 100% water change.

well for a 4.5inch fish that tank should be alright so yeah get your parameters checked as soon as possible but i wouldnt do a 100% water change you should be okay with just a 75% and keep the water quality the best you can

Well u cant go wrong and it wont hurt to do a %100 water change

I would just do 50% daily for the next week. Invest in a lot of Prime.

What's the water temp? And I know it's a newby question to ask, but when you do the WC you siphon gravel right? The culprit could easily be a bacteria or parasite. Do you use feeders?
