My flowerhorn is sick so I went to a LFS and they suggested I put tetracycline inside. I did, but now half my flowerhorn's face is black D: I was not like this before. What is happening?

Question for you...is it active & eating? I've used tetracycline for fin rots & ulcers. From the looks of your fish, no problems with its fins or body. Other than the dark face, what other symptoms is it showing?

The most common culprit FHs suffer from is heximita. Symptoms include loss of apetite & white stringy poop.

Its not really eating, it tries to but after a long time of chewing it, usually spits it back out AND hes got the white poop. I told the LFS people the symptoms and they recommended tetracycline to me... Should I get something else instead?

Sounds like hexamita, search it on this forum.

Treatments I know of
-epsom salt
-metro
-tetracycline

I'd go with metro since your fish isn't eating

I already have tetracycline in the tank, should I wait until a week of treatment is completed and then put in metro? Or should i clean it up with carbon for a few days first?

I would isolate him in his own tank during treatment so not to get your other stock sick & to use less medication. I've used metro, product call Clear & even mixed garlic in with its food then force feed FHs in the past hoping to rid of the internal parasites. I've only resorted to force feeding them after about 3 weeks without food. It's just that the longer they go without eating, the weaker they become & their immune system entirely breaks down.

Having tried these remedies, I think the best treatment is to keep the water quality at its best & salt with frequent water changes (daily). Good luck to you.

Make sure you take out the carbon from your filter when you are using the treatments everyone mentioned.
Also, turn up your temp to 85-86 F degrees and change the water every other day during treatment.
You seem to have a water quality issue when the FH's face is dark. Water must have a high level of ammonia or nitrite, etc.
