Can black ghost knife fish be put in the same tank as common gold fish or will they kill them.

plus large gold fish adds amonia lowers water quality
kept butterfly koi with bichirs koi got to 1' nothing but problems

You can keep them together, but don't let the temperature be more than 78 degrees Ferinheit.

Don't keep goldfish in tropical temps. The increased metabolism causes a mess. Get rid of goldfish, go with the Knife.
